KATA Fresh Farms 13-Week Program

Starting Friday December 23, KATA Fresh Farms will provide four kilos (8.8 pounds) weekly for 13 weeks to one person just in time for Christmas 2022.

The KATA food pack is provided at no cost to KATA's Kenyans in Need and during this 90-day period participants will be trained and educated in farming and or pro running so they can take care of themselves and their family in the future.

This program is totally based on contributions❤️ ❤️ from supporters. The number of Kenyans in Need that will be taken care of in the first enrollment will be determined by the total amount of contributions received by 12/1/22 (Funding period one ends December 1.)

That amount will be divided by the number of pounds needed to take care of one Kenyan in Need for 13-weeks. Four kilos (8.8 pounds) times 13 weeks equals 114.4 pounds or $114.40US.

"We are going to do more than provide food to Kenyans in Need, says Bob Anderson. "We are going to be empowering, teaching and training women to be better farmers. Additionally, we are training and teaching talented male and female runners to be pro runners.  We think in 13 weeks we will make an impact on their lives. It is important that we do everything possible to make our program sustainable."

"The Kenyan in Need will know that once they are confirmed they will be provided four kilos of home-grown fresh fruits and vegetables weekly for 13 weeks," says Catherine Anderson, Co-Director.  "In addition we will provide training for the woman farmer or the potential pro runner."

Here is how it works:

For every US dollar contributed, one pound of home-grown fresh fruits and vegetables will be provided to a "Kenyan in Need" who have qualified for this program.

$8.80 covers one person for one week (8.8 pounds or four kilos). $26.40 contributed takes care of a family of three for a week. $114.40 contributed takes care of one person for the whole 13-week program.
